What is Fitness?
We often ask ourselves, what is fitness? Is there a stronger variable that affects your work, your recreation, your mobility or your quality of life than your health? We do unfortunately see examples everyday of individuals that suffer at work and at home due to poor health. Think of all your family, friends and even work mates that pass away due health-related issues shortly after retirement. To put it simply, your health and level of fitness are no accident, they are a choice and a decision that you make each time you put something in your mouth and every time you decide whether or not to exercise, walk to the shops instead of taking your car or even walk up the stairs instead of using the elevator.
Based on my research, anyone can improve their level of fitness, no matter where they are in their own personal fitness journey. It all starts with a decision and motivation to improve. I’ve been there and done that!
Improving your fitness doesn't have to be tedious or a drag. It doesn't have to happen all it once. The best approach is to adopt long-term, healthy principles that you will follow for the rest of your life. As your level of fitness improves, you will find that every aspect of your life will also improve. Why not make the decision (take the plunge) and start improving today?
You would be surprised on few adjustments you need to improve your fitness and your overall health. Remember, a simple fitness program (which doesn’t necessarily have to involve a gym), healthy eating and a change of lifestyle is all it takes. The stated benefits include weight loss, improved blood pressure, lower body fat, better bone density, improved good and bad cholesterol, flexibility, improved muscle mass and a longer life expectancy.
I’ll be publishing added articles about health and fitness, so stay tuned and remember, its never too late to improve and enjoy your life.
